About
West Central Ohio Weather Center is an independent weather information project for Bellefontaine, Logan County and surrounding communities. It combines official National Weather Service data with our own forecast discussions and weather education.

Tornado safety
- Go to the lowest floor, in an interior room away from windows (a basement or storm shelter is best).
- Mobile and manufactured homes are not safe in a tornado. Move to a sturdy building before the storm arrives.
- Do not wait to see or hear a tornado. Act when a warning is issued.
Flooding
- Never drive through flooded roads. Turn around, don't drown.
- Flash flooding can occur quickly on small creeks and in low-lying areas.
Winter weather
- Avoid travel during ice storms and blizzard conditions. Keep a winter kit in your vehicle.
- Use generators and heaters outdoors or with proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
